Girdapp ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Petiverse mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Automatically generated device-based account upon first use. Optionally, email address and profile data when signing in with Google or Apple Sign In.
- Couple Connection Data: Invitation codes used to link accounts with your partner.
- Shared Relationship Data: Virtual pet interactions, shared activities, messages, and other data that becomes shared once accounts are linked.
- Photos/Media: Photos you choose to upload or select from your device library for the Couple Album Widget or shared features.
- Device and Usage Information: Device ID, IP address, device type, OS version, app usage data, and crash reports.
- Analytics and Advertising Data: We use third-party services such as Adjust and Scate SDK to collect anonymized usage data, device identifiers, and advertising identifiers for analytics, attribution, and displaying personalized advertisements.
We do not currently collect location data, though we may add this feature in future updates.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain core App features (shared pet raising, widgets, couple interactions).
- To enable sharing between linked partners (your data is visible to your connected partner).
- For analytics and performance improvement (via Adjust and Scate).
- To serve and measure personalized advertisements.
- To communicate with you and provide support.
3. Sharing Your Information
- With your partner: All shared pet and couple features are visible to the linked account.
- With third-party service providers: Analytics (Adjust, Scate), cloud storage, and advertising partners under strict confidentiality agreements.
- With Apple/Google: When using their Sign In services.
- For legal reasons: If required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Security
We store your data on our secure servers and use industry-standard measures (encryption, access controls) to protect it. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Your Rights
- You can access, correct, or delete your data by contacting us or deleting your account in the App.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising in device settings.
- For EU/UK users: Additional GDPR/CCPA rights apply – contact us to exercise them.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 15 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
